new policy: I kindly ask that you check in with me at least 1 hour before class. In the event I don’t have any sign-ups class will be canceled to maintain my healthy boundaries with time (and two young puppies!). This also helps you commit to your practice and ensures we can all show up with intention. Plus, it helps Rob plan for his yummy treats after class! 😋
You can email and let me know you are coming, even if its a simple ‘see you in class tonight!’ I promise to respond with care.
Where are the classes held? Our gentle yoga sessions take place in the cozy climate controlled loft upstairs, offering a quiet and secluded space perfect for relaxation and rejuvenation. If the weather permits and we all agree, we might take a meditative stroll through the gardens to the lakeshore and continue our practice under the cooling shade of trees by the water.
What should I bring? We recommend bringing a yoga mat, comfortable clothing suitable for movement, and a water bottle. If we decide to walk to the lakeshore, you might also consider a small towel or an extra layer for comfort. Studio props and mats are available for use.
What happens after class? After each class, Rob provides complimentary snacks which vary from homemade banana bread to fresh fruit. Ice water is also available to help you stay hydrated and refreshed. It’s a great opportunity to relax further and enjoy some time mingling with fellow class participants.
How do I know if the class will be indoors or outdoors? Weather permitting, the option to practice outdoors will be discussed at the beginning of each class upstairs in the loft. We always aim to make the most of the beautiful surroundings whenever possible.
What is the focus of the class? The primary focus of our gentle yoga class is recovery and self-care. Through a series of gentle stretches and poses, you’ll have the opportunity to listen to your body and move in a way that feels right for you, promoting both physical and mental recovery. ***Beginner friendly!***
What is the cost? Classes are donation based, this means that anyone who wishes to participate is welcome. In order to provide snacks, props, continuing education, and of course any maintenance we do suggest a donation of $15 per class. There are class cards available for your convenience, 10 classes is $150 suggested donation. Cards accepted, cash preferred.
What’s the address? 43 Nearing Road Lake Huntington NY, you will see a large yoga sign out front.
