Bio
Jodi Sibilia, a native of Northern Vermont, spent her formative years on a sheep farm before earning her BA in Studio Art from Johnson State University in 2009. Driven by a desire to make a positive impact, she relocated to upstate New York in 2010, obtaining her Emergency Medical Training Certificate and joining an ambulance company.
Over the ensuing years, Sibilia's journey took her to the Barrett Art Center, where she managed a photography darkroom while nurturing her artistic vision. Concurrently, she initiated children's classes in her home studio. In 2013, she moved to Pittsburgh to pursue a Master's Degree in Teaching from Chatham University, subsequently returning to New York. Despite teaching art in public schools, Sibilia delved into her art portfolio and expanded her expertise in wellness and yoga. In 2015, she established Yoga By The Lake, seamlessly blending art and wellness.
Transitioning from education to a full-time career in wellness and creative design, Sibilia's impactful trajectory continued. From 2021 to 2023, she curated The Narrowsburg Union Galleries, followed by an invitation to curate the Delaware Valley Opera Center-Art Nest in 2023. In these roles, she passionately supports local and emerging artists, orchestrating themed exhibitions that resonate with the community.
Residing in Lake Huntington, New York, Sibilia plays a vital role in the Cochecton Volunteer Ambulance Corps. Collaborating with her team, she spearheads fundraising and outreach events centered around wellness. One of her current volunteer initiatives involves leading the development of a sensory garden in the Cochecton Volunteer Ambulance Park for communal use. Jodi Sibilia's multifaceted contributions underscore her commitment to both the artistic and well-being spheres of her community.
